Book an Event @ Polo

The club is offering 2 complimentary Hors d’Oeuvres for members that book an event before April 30th and then host it before August 31st.  With the new renovations to the clubhouse, this facility really has become spectacular.  I just had the cedar plank salmon with some kind of citrus glaze that was phenomenal.  Just call 770-406-4971 or email to get details.

Polo Women’s Book Club

The book list for Feb-May this year is a good one, including:

  • The Astronauts Wives Club
  • Euphoria
  • The Time in Between
  • Blood Mountain Covenant: A Son’s Revenge

The meetings are the First Friday of each month.  You can visit the Polo Women’s Club facebook page or RSVP to

ClubCorp Alliances

Many years ago, I had a good friend who introduced me to the Vinings Club, where I did business lunches, events, etc. for about 2 years.  During that time, I was also able to use the facilities in other cities as well through their alliance arrangement.

ClubCorp has the same kinds of advantages, ranging from access to City Clubs, other golf courses and event tickets.  To find out more, just visit or email

Polo 4th of July Celebration

4th of July Parade & Party in the Park

Saturday, July 4th, 2014, 10:30am-12:30pm
Join your neighbors for the HOA’s Annual 4th of July Parade & Party in the Park! The fun begins with the parade at 10:30am in the parking lot behind Polo Pool. The party will begin upon arrival of the parade at Polo Park!

The event is sponsored by the Homeowner’s Association and is FREE to all Polo residents and their families. There is no need to RSVP to this event. However, if you have questions or are able to help, please email Heidie Nesset and Melinda Jenkins at We will need volunteers for set-up on 7/3, and a few people to help block traffic during the parade. Thank you!

PARADE (10:30am, pool parking lot)- All ages are invited to participate in the parade. You may walk; ride a bike, scooter, stroller, wagon, etc. For safety reasons there will be no motorized vehicles allowed (golf carts, kid’s motorized cars, etc.). Make sure to get into the holiday spirit and decorate your bikes (& yourself if you want). There will be trophies awarded for: “Most Creative,” “Most Patriotic,” and “Best in Show”. If you want to be in the running for a trophy, make sure your name is labeled somewhere on your bike!

PARTY AT THE PARK (10:45-12:30pm, Polo Park)- This year we will have inflatable water slides and a wet inflatable obstacle course! There will be a few fun games as well. Make sure to wear your bathing suit (or something that can get wet) and to bring a towel. There will be snow cones and bottled water. You may want to bring some snacks, a picnic lunch, and extra drinks for your family.
PARKING- Make sure to arrive early enough to find parking. The parking lots closest to the pool entrance are good options. There won’t be parking available in the back pool parking lot (where the parade begins), or the park lot. We want to avoid cars driving and parking where the children will have their bikes. Thank you in advance for keeping the safety of the children in mind.

Traffic will be blocked on the parade route from 10:30am to approximately 10:45 on Saturday, July 4, 2015. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause. However, the safety of the parade participants is of utmost importance. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

The following streets will be affected:

· Polo entrance at Lancaster Circle and Majors Road

Homes on Woodspring Way will not be able to access Lancaster Circle
