New Street Signs at Polo
The outdated 4×4 wooden post street signs are currently being replaced with a much better look. The old signs, if you look at them closely, have a few staple holes in them where flyers have been placed over the years. With the new metal signs, that won’t be possible. In addition to looking great and helping the value of the homes in the community, these signs are also a little higher and more visible from a distance.
Distressed Sales in Polo
While looking over the current active listings, I noticed the following:
35 Active Listings
7 of them are short sales
3 of them are foreclosures
The short sales and foreclosures are categorized together as “distressed” properties. If you look at the price range, it is extremely wide, especially for one community, ranging from the low $200,000’s to almost $1 Million. Nearly a third of homes for sale being distressed properties is fairly normal for the higher-end subdivisions in the area. When these numbers get back to traditional levels, we will see prices begin to level out and then possibly even rise seasonally according to demand. Until then, we’ll keep bouncing along the bottom with a slight trend downward.
Fine Dining at Polo
Wednesday evenings are “Family Night Out” at the Heritage Grille. Chef O’Brien always has good stuff for us. On Friday evenings, there’s always music or entertainment in Mulligan’s Pub. Tuesdays through Sundays, you can take advantage of Polo To Go, where Chef O’Brien and his staff will cook up something good for your family to be served in your home. In addition, there is a breakfast, lunch & dinner schedule. Visit the Polo Golf & Country Club website for more details. You can also call the club at (770) 887-7656. You can also visit their Facebook page to keep up as well.
